Hatchery collaborative approach to developing techniques for Atlantic sea scallops

Sea scallops! Maybe by now you've heard of this bivalve being grown by Maine aquaculture farmers - and if not, then you definitely know how delicious they are. Over the past four years, three Maine hatcheries (Mook Sea Farm, the Darling Marine Center, and Downeast Institute) have collaborated in the noble effort to produce Atlantic sea scallop spat in a hatchery to support the emerging sea scallop aquaculture sector.
