Tips for Effective Social Media Management

Social media is a cost-effective and accessible way for seafood farmers to share their stories with broader audiences. However, it can be intimidating to navigate the various social media platforms and understand how much time/resources you should invest in social media to be effective. With funding from NOAA's Saltonstall-Kennedy program, a guide was developed to help U.S. seafood farmers and fishermen use social media more effectively. This panel will provide an overview of the guide, including: how to highlight key messages to more effectively share your story, how to choose a social media platform, and how to build a social media strategy that is right for you. Panelists from the farming community will share their experiences using social media.
